Every Undertaker WrestleMania Match Ranked

15. The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry – WrestleMania 22

The only Casket match in WrestleMania history, this took place at a time when Mark Henry was still lost in limbo on the WWE roster.

Henry had not yet reached his peak with the Hall of Pain, and he was well passed the comedy gimmicks of the Attitude Era. This caused him to feel like a placeholder at WrestleMania 22. It was rumored that Undertaker had wanted to wrestle Kurt Angle at that year’s WrestleMania in the hopes that he could finally have a great ‘Mania match. It was not to be however and Taker was left to face Henry. The match was slow and it was fine but at no point did the streak ever feel like it was in jeopardy.

14. The Undertaker vs. Kane – WrestleMania XIV

The first meeting between brothers. Although it would not be the last, this match was the first clash between monsters at WrestleMania.

Kane had been a thorn in Undertaker’s side since his debut at Badd Blood the previous October. Despite vowing to never fight his brother, Undertaker was forced to battle his evil younger brother at WrestleMania XIV. The buildup was there for a classic match but the whole thing comes off very strange. First, Kane emerged and Tombstoned Pete Rose who was antagonizing the Boston crowd. Then, the match did not have the intensity of a hate-filled blood feud.

Taker managed to hit three Tombstones to keep Kane down but this match was really quite odd.

13. The Undertaker vs. Diesel – WrestleMania XII

It is hard to believe that a match with Diesel was Undertaker’s best WrestleMania match for the first decade of his career. However, as surprising as it may be, Diesel and Taker pulled off a fun big-man match.

The two behemoths wrestled for just under seventeen minutes. While that may sound boring, they actually had very good chemistry. The match was as good as it could be and was quite entertaining. The second biggest match at WrestleMania XII surpassed all expectations and gave The Undertaker a good WrestleMania match.

12. The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt – WrestleMania 31

In his first appearance since losing to Brock Lesnar the year prior, Undertaker emerged to accept the challenge of Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31.

Undertaker’s aura had taken a hit after his match with Lesnar, and it was a mystery what we were going to see in this match. Although Wyatt was dealing with a fairly serious ankle injury, they got through things well enough and had a decent little match. Taker dispatched Wyatt with relative ease and left WrestleMania with a few more years left in him.

11. The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns – WrestleMania 33

This one is kind of sad. While Roman Reigns winning this match did not mean as much as it would have if the streak had not been broken three years earlier, it was still a big win for Reigns.

Undertaker’s body was not what it once was by the time this match rolled around. It made it difficult to pull off all the spots that they had planned, especially as they neared the finish. In the end, Undertaker lost to Reigns and he set his coat, hat, and gloves in the ring and made his exit. It would have been a fine farewell for ‘The Deadman’ but it just was not meant to be.
