What’s next for Giulia in WWE? The former Women’s US Champion’s future plans after losing Money in the Bank qualifying match

On the September 25 SmackDown episode, Giulia competed in a qualifying bout for the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder match.

Giulia faced off against Charlotte Flair and Lash Legend to determine the penultimate addition to the upcoming ladder match, slated for the October 10 premium live event.

Lash Legend was ultimately victorious, pinning Giulia to secure the fifth Money in the Bank spot.

While it made sense to see Legend win this match, with WWE clearly pushing her as a top title contender, there has been some speculation about what’s next for Giulia, following another loss.

With Lash Legend previously defeating Giulia in two minutes flat in the qualifier for the interim WWE Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam, there has been some discourse about what the right next move for the former Women’s US Champion is.

Here are some potential options for Giulia, following her Money in the Bank qualifier loss.

Blake Monroe match

Following recent episodes of SmackDown, it seems that a match between Giulia and Blake Monroe will happen very soon.

Blake Monroe was initially set to make her SmackDown TV in-ring debut against Giulia on the August 21 episode, but instead attacked Giulia, resulting in the match being called off.

The duo have continued to have run-ins with each other without having an official match, with Monroe recently revealing that she needed mouth surgery following Giulia ambushing her on September 4.

While this match hasn’t been confirmed, a Giulia vs Blake Monroe bout or series would be the logical next step, however with both stars in need of a victory, it’d be interesting to see how it’d play out.

Move to Raw

Following Giulia’s recent losses, a good way to for her to regain momentum would be for her to move across to Monday Night Raw.

A switch to the red brand would allow the former Women’s US Champion to reinvent herself and face off against new opponents.

Giulia has wrestled twice for WWE Raw so far, first teaming with Roxanne Perez on the May 12 episode in a losing effort against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

Her most recent WWE Raw in-ring outing saw her come up short in a Queen of the Ring first round fatal four-way bout on June 1 against Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez and eventual winner IYO SKY.

NXT return

Giulia’s NXT run was relatively short and sweet, with the Japanese star making her in-ring debut for the developmental brand in September 2024, and wrestling her last match at the Performance Center in May 2025.

She achieved a lot in her eight months under the NXT banner, notably winning the 2024 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, and going on to win the NXT Women’s Championship.

While she has since established herself on the main roster, a brief run in NXT could be what Giulia needs to revitalise herself in WWE.

We could see her follow in the footsteps of the likes of current NXT Champion Grayson Waller and showcase her abilities against the Performance Center’s brightest, before saying “arrivederci” to NXT once again.
