WWE
The Friday, October 9 episode of WWE SmackDown saw a somewhat surprising title change when Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss defeated Fatal Influence for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
With Money in the Bank almost here, and what could an eventful Raw and SmackDown following the PLE, Paxley and Bliss’ win may just be there prelude for several more title changes over the the next week.
Here are three more new champions to potentially be crowned soon:
B-Fab & Michin – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Alexa Bliss walking out of Lafayette as a record-tying five-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was not something fans saw coming, as it was originally Charlotte Flair who was advertised to be teaming with Tatum Paxley against Fatal Influence.
However, before she could get that opportunity “The Queen” was attacked by Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab, which led to her not being cleared to compete.
Cargill’s actions may have prevented Flair from becoming a champion, but it will likely irk her that her friends Bliss and Paxley managed to achieve success in spite of her taking out Flair.
Cargill may choose to goad Bliss & Paxley into defending their titles next week on SmackDown, with the champions accepting as they’d be keen to get some revenge for Flair. However, whether it be due to Fatal Influence interfering for their own bit of revenge, Cargill, or a mixture of the two, we could see Michin and B-Fab cut short Bliss and Paxley’s reign.
Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship
One of two world title matches at WWE Money in the Bank 2026 will see Stephanie Vaquer defend her Women’s World Title against both Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch in a three-way.
After months of back-and-forth between all three this is certainly the way to settle the score, but Vaquer’s decision may come back to bite her.
Liv Morgan always has herself backup in the form of The Judgment Day, and those numbers very well may prove vital in seeing her reunite with her beloved championship… Or, they could come back to haunt her immensely.
Roxanne Perez – Women’s World Championship
Yes, there is every chance that none of the three stars advertised for the Women’s World Title match at Money in the Bank will actually walk out as champion, and it all depends on what the match order will be for the event.
If the Women’s Money in the Bank takes place before Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch, there is a good chance we see a cash-in take place either during, or after the match. This is especially so if Roxanne Perez is the one to win the briefcase.
Perez could finally step out of Liv Morgan’s shadow by cashing in on her immediately after she wins back the Women’s World Title; a definitive backstabbing.
Or, WWE could make things a little less blatant by having Perez cash-in during the match and pinning either Vaquer or Lynch. While it’s almost certain Perez will be leaving Judgment Day either way, the second option would allow for a more interesting aftermath as Morgan comes to grips with the idea that a different member of Judgment Day is holding her title.
