WWE
WWE Money in the Bank is mere hours away, with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line in the opening match.
It was recently confirmed that Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight would open WWE Money in the Bank on November 11, ruling out the possibility of a cash-in on the World Heavyweight Champion.
With two Money in the Bank contracts up for grabs, there will be turmoil ahead at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans:
Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
A ladder match that sees Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton all in action for the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase; this could be a showstealer for the WWE PLE.
All five stars have bright futures as potential top card candidates, with multiple championships already having passed through their hands. It’s easy to see any of the five as future women’s champions, whether they target the Women’s World Championship or the WWE Women’s Championship.
When it comes to a winner, however, surely Roxanne Perez will be the top choice, with Liv Morgan being less than impressed that the star that she took under her wing now has a potential opportunity to be Women’s World Champion.
Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Three future and two current top stars will go at it for a chance to climb the ladder, retrieve the briefcase and secure a men’s championship contract.
With Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk and Kevin Owens qualifying for the match, it’s easy to see either of the last two continuing their top-of-the-card journey with a victory.
That said, Owens and Punk have their own issues with each other that came into play on this week’s SmackDown, only for Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn to make his thoughts felt on their chances and the future of his reign.
The situation between Owens and Punk is likely to boil over at Money in the Bank, leading to a perfect opportunity for Breakker, Evans or Penta to scale the ladder for the win.
With a hot-headed Breakker and an ambitious Evans, it’s too good an opportunity for WWE not to build something between both stars going forward, with Penta being the one to swoop in, claim the briefcase and eye that rematch against Roman Reigns.
The rest of the card
Aside from the two ladder matches, there are three other matches set for WWE Money in the Bank.
As previously noted, Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight will open the show, while the Women’s World Championship will also be on the line as Stephanie Vaquer defends against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan.
Elsewhere on the PLE, Oba Femi and Bronson Reed will face each other, with The Vision no doubt making an appearance.
