Earlier this week, WWE NXT officially dropped the Heritage Cup as an active title on the brand.

With Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo being the last champion in the title’s history, there could be a new championship to replace the Heritage Cup.

Whether it be an old title or a newly christened championship gold, there could be new opportunities for the talent on the NXT roster.

Here are six new WWE NXT titles to potentially replace the Heritage Cup.

6. WWE Speed Tag Team Championships

Over the past year, NXT has added new sets of titles from the Speed division.

After being created in 2024 on its own show, the WWE Speed Men’s and Women’s Championships have made their way to NXT.

Now, the company has the chance to add another title to the division that can highlight more of the tag team scene.

Introducing the WWE Speed Tag Team Championships could put a further spotlight on some notable duos on the NXT brand moving forward.

5. WWE NXT Global Championship

At the start of 2026, the NXT brand added a significant amount of talent from all over the world.

From Romeo Moreno to Tristan Angels, these stars from outside of the United States are being showcased in a major way.

This could lead to NXT debuting a new title that puts a bigger spotlight on these talents from all over the world.

The WWE NXT Global Championship might be the best way for the brand to offer new opportunities for these international stars that have made Tuesday nights their home.

4. WWE NXT Television Championship

A Television Championship has always been a wonderful way to feature midcard talent on different rosters.

Whether it be the WCW and NWA Television Championship or the TNT and TBS Titles in All Elite Wrestling, these championships have been strong ways to provide different talents a platform necessary to grow.

NXT could be next to introduce their own Television Title in the future that would further elevate different stars.

From veterans like Noam Dar and Shawn Spears to newer talents like Shiloh Hill and Kam Hendrix, the NXT Television Championship would be interesting to see how it can give different names on the roster their chance to shine.

3. WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship

In the past, NXT has been the home for the Cruiserweight division and became a consistent highlight of the brand.

The past champions on WWE NXT have ranged from those who have since left the company like Santos Escobar and Lio Rush to current main roster stars like Carmelo Hayes and JD McDonagh.

While there have been no signs that WWE is considering re-introducing weight-specific titles, NXT would be a perfect place to do so if they ever did, and would give stars from all brands a reason to frequent the show.

Whether it be main roster names like Dragon Lee or NXT talent like Sean Legacy, there are plenty of possible winners and the belt could give fans match of the week contenders every Tuesday.

2. WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships

Another older title that used to have an important role on WWE NXT is the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Merging with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, the titles would give the rich talent on the NXT women’s division some pivotal roles that helped them grow as performers.

The NXT brand has several different women’s duos that could become contenders like Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain, WrenQCC and Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships making a return would offer crucial opportunities to hold gold on the brand moving forward.

1. WWE NXT Trios Championship

The WWE NXT brand has a huge amount of different groups that might need the chance to hold gold as a unit.

From The Vanity Project to DarkState, these stables have their own sets of trios that can become vital components in a potential division.

There have been promotions like All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, AAA and CMLL that have their own sets of trios titles over the years.

NXT joining in and introducing Trios Titles would be very intriguing and deliver some compelling matches that would separate them from any other title on the brand.
