A new update has emerged on a potential WWE in-ring return for Sheamus, who has been out of action since November.

Sheamus’ last match was when he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a win against Judgment Day on Raw at Madison Square Garden in one of the last matches during Cena’s retirement tour and his last ever Raw match.

Since then, Sheamus has been out of action with a shoulder injury, but is now taking steps towards a potential return.

The four-time WWE World Champion posted an udpate on social media today, sharing photos of him working out and training at the WWE Performance Center with NXT stars Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, and North Amerian Champion Myles Borne.

Sheamus attached photos of him in then ring and also one showing a big red graze across his back that had seemingly come about as a result of the session.

Sheamus Chasing One More Major Accomplishment In WWE

Sheamus remains chasing the one championship he has yet to win in his WWE career – the Intercontinental Title.

Winning the title would not only make Sheamus a Grand Slam Champion, but also the only other WWE star alongside Edge to have held all the titles that make up a Grand Slam, as well as the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and King of the Ring.

The Intercontinental Title seen has had a bit of a refresh of late with Penta now reigning as champion and the emergence of Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page as challengers, but Sheamus would be a welcome addition and will hopefully win that elusive IC Title before he brings an end to his career.
