CM Punk officially outed himself as a Gunther mark yesterday. It’s okay, it affects all of us.
When Gunther announced he would be in the Rumble, Punk noted that he’d ‘see him at the Rumble’.
If Rollins ends up missing the show, I can envision a scenario where Punk is asked who he wants to face at WrestleMania as a replacement, and if he’s a big Gunther mark, he may end up choosing the Ring General.
The issue is the Intercontinental Championship still being on Gunther, because I don’t see Punk challenging for a midcard title.
