WWE SummerSlam 2025 is now fast approaching with Night of Champions now in the books, having taken place earlier today.
Night of Champions directly set up some matches for SummerSlam, which will be the first ever two-night edition of the event.
Here are several matches we predict will take place at WWE SummerSlam 2025 on August 2 and 3.
John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Championship

Officially confirmed after Night of Champions is a rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to win the King of the Ring tournament to earn a SummerSlam title shot, while Cena retained the championship against CM Punk to ensure he’s the one defending against Rhodes.
There’s a possibility it could be spun into a multi-man match as Seth Rollins attempted to cash-in which caused a controversial finish, but as things stand officially right now, it’s going to be a WrestleMania rematch between Cena and Rhodes at SummerSlam.
With slight teases from Rhodes of a heel turn, and the crowd coming back around to John Cena, the crowd response leading up to and during the match is sure to be a talking point.
