After over a month away from the ring Seth Rollins is officially back after competing at a WWE live event in Ecuador on Wednesday, September 9.
While nothing has been officially announced, the fact that Rollins is on tour with WWE raises hopes that he could be back on Monday Night Raw in Mexico City on September 14.
Here are three potential plans for Seth Rollins when he makes his return to WWE Raw.
Qualifies For Money In The Bank
The most straight forward option for Seth Rollins’ WWE return would be having him attempt to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Rollins is the reigning Money in the Bank holder after all, and not since CM Punk in 2009 has a superstar gone back-to-back in consecutive years with a briefcase win.
Although matching a CM Punk record would obviously be sweet for Seth, it would also bring him a massive step close towards a seventh world championship in WWE.
While he and Roman Reigns’ story appears to be done, Rollins could certainly take the briefcase over to SmackDown and cash-in over there instead.
Challenges Chad Gable For WWE Intercontinental Title
In what is sure to be a show-stealer, Chad Gable will defend his Intercontinental Title against Dragon Lee in Mexico City on Raw next week.
While Gable has no shortage of potential challengers on Raw already, he’s waiting for someone to really begin a proper program with, and Seth Rollins certainly could be that.
Not since 2022 has Rollins pursued a mid-card championship, so it’d be a refreshing change of pace for ‘The Visionary’ if he was to do so upon his return.
It would also elevate both the Intercontinental Title and its holder Chad Gable massively, particularly if Gable gets a convincing win over Rollins. Despite being two of WWE’s very best inside the ring, they have only ever met one-on-one once back in January 2023. That is criminal given how long they’ve both been in the company, so hopefully WWE puts them against each other before too long.
Teams Up With Oba Femi Against The Vision
While most fans will be hoping WWE gives Seth Rollins something new and fresh when he makes his return, there is certainly a decent chance they instead revisit his rivalry with The Vision.
Oba Femi is outnumbered by the group right now and has paid the price for attempting to take them all on single-handedly. Begrudgingly accepting help, Femi could turn towards the man that knows The Vision better than any other: it’s former leader Seth Rollins.
Rollins and Femi have teamed up on WWE’s live event circuit several times against The Vision, but it’d be nice for fans to see that dynamic play out on their TV screens.
