Ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42, Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes to win the United States Championship on the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

This loss took place mostly due to outside interference from Trick Williams, who cost Hayes the title inadvertently.

Since then, Hayes has had his eyes set on the US Title and has been wanting to get a shot against his former best friend.

Trick defending the US Title against Melo at WWE SummerSlam 2026 could be an emotional and significant bout for both men at this stage of their careers.

6. Ricky Saints

On the May 1 edition of SmackDown, Ricky Saints made his main roster debut and immediately stepped up to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
