Despite not being until next April, there is already some talk about what matches could take place at WWE WrestleMania 43 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027.

Looking at the entire roster, it would not be surprising to anyone if Roman Reigns found himself in yet another main event spot at the WrestleMania 43 premium live event.

‘The OTC’ currently being the World Heavyweight Champion means he will have to be in a high profile title bout on the card from Saudi Arabia next year.

Here are eight potential opponents for Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 43.

8. CM Punk

At WWE WrestleMania 42 night two, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

‘The Best In The World’ would go on to take several months off following this loss and then made his return to defeat Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed WWE Championship on the July 6 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Now that he is back in the fold, fans have noticed Punk and Reigns have been trading veiled shots at one another in interviews.

Punk once again facing off with Reigns feels more than worthy of being the headliner yet again at WrestleMania 43 next April.

7. Drew McIntyre

Following his loss to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, Drew McIntyre has taken some time off and has been absent from WWE television as of late.

The former Undisputed WWE Champion remains one of the biggest stars on the roster today and someone who can immediately have a main event spot on any card.

Over the past few years, McIntyre has developed a bitter and personal rivalry with Roman Reigns, stemming from their WWE Clash At The Castle match that was the catalyst for his change in attitude and subsequent heel turn.

McIntyre concluding his feud with Reigns at WrestleMania 43 would culminate their years of battles against one another on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

6. Bron Breakker

When he first joined forces with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker showcased his dominance by attacking Roman Reigns.

Being at the helm of The Vision, Breakker has stood front and center, positioning himself as a future top star for the company.

After physically dominating Reigns at every turn, it feels like the right time for WWE to finally pull the trigger on this bout for Breakker.

Whether it be for championship gold or personal pride, Breakker would be an excellent choice to face Reigns at WrestleMania 43 in what would be the biggest match of his young career.

5. Jacob Fatu

At WWE Backlash 2026, Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Then, Reigns was once again able to pull out a victory over ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ in a Tribal Combat match to retain the title again at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

Thanks to this loss, Fatu was forced to acknowledge Reigns as his ‘Tribal Chief’ and join The Bloodline faction moving forward.

Looking to gain his freedom from the stable, Fatu could challenge Reigns for one last battle at WrestleMania 43 where he will have all the motivation to win in Saudi Arabia.

4. GUNTHER

Over the past year, GUNTHER has gone from strength to strength as a former World Heavyweight Champion and retiring some of the most iconic names in wrestling.

Across the past 12 months, ‘The Ring General’ defeated John Cena, Goldberg and AJ Styles in the final matches of their legendary careers.

Earning the moniker of ‘Career Killer,’ GUNTHER has grown his legacy and could make for an exciting new opponent for Roman Reigns.

In what would be a first time ever dream match, Reigns and GUNTHER have what it takes to tear the house down in Riyadh at WrestleMania 43 next year.

3. Cody Rhodes

Back at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to finish his story and win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

After splitting two Mania matches, Rhodes and Reigns have grown a deep hatred for one another, which has led to the two stars trading barbs over the past few years.

Making their disdain for one another clear, it would be shocking if Rhodes and Reigns did not step inside the ring to do battle sooner rather than later.

With this historic WWE WrestleMania 43 event on the horizon, Reigns and Rhodes could finally settle the score and see who the better man is once and for all.

2. Oba Femi

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, Oba Femi defeated Jey Uso to win the King of the Ring final.

Thanks to this victory, Femi was guaranteed a shot at the world title of his choosing at the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.

However, ‘The Ruler’ decided to forgo his guaranteed title shot for now to face his rival Brock Lesnar inside Hell In A Cell instead.

With many fans believing the company will save a showdown for the gold until next year, it seems inevitable for Oba Femi to finally clash with Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on a huge stage like WWE WrestleMania 43.

1. The Rock

When WWE announced WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, many fans immediately believed the company would be calling on legendary names to bolster the card.

One of the first names mentioned as a potential legend to come back for the WrestleMania 43 premium live event is The Rock.

Having been WWE and TKO’s first call when they need someone, The Rock has showcased what makes him a must watch star as ‘The Final Boss’ when he aligned with Roman Reigns in his feud with Cody Rhodes in the leadup to WrestleMania 40 in 2024.

Now all these years later, it might finally be the right time for WWE to pull the trigger on The Rock going one-on-one with Roman Reigns in a battle for family supremacy in the main event of WrestleMania 43.
