Shawn Michaels & The Knights
Shawn Michaels: The ‘Heartbreak Kid’ retired from wrestling in 2010 after losing a classic match to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Spent almost a decade away before Saudi millions tempted him back into the ring at Crown Jewel. Works alongside Triple H at NXT and NXT UK and is likely to be in a position of power as Hunter gains more and more control of the company.
Barry Horowitz: Received a push in 1995 when he defeated Skip after a lifelong stint as a WWE jobber. That last all of a few months. Went to WCW and did almost nothing. Semi retired to focus on a sports nutrition business before hanging up his boots for good in 2013.
Greg Valentine: The ‘Hammer’ is still going strong on the independent circuit at the age of 67, some 48 years after he made his wrestling debut. WWE full-time run ended for good in 1994. Valentine received his HOF induction a decade later. Wrestled his last match (to date) for the company in 2005, losing to Rob Conway on an episode of Heat.
Jeff Gaylord: The journeyman wrestler left the business in 1997, trading the squared circle for the slammer after he robbed a bank in Colorado. Twice. He has been in and out of jail since.
