WWE
The Friday, September 11 episode of WWE SmackDown not only saw Sami Zayn win his second Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating CM Punk, but it also saw a significant heel turn, as Damian Priest turned his back on tag team partner R-Truth.
This turn sets Priest up for some exciting possibilities, but he may not be the only member of the SmackDown roster to turn his back on the WWE Universe.
Here are three more WWE SmackDown stars potentially turning heel soon.
Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton held the WWE Women’s Championship for 302 days in 2025.
While SmackDown saw one major title change, one belt that did not change hands was Chelsea Green’s WWE Women’s Championship.
Green managed to outlast Nia Jax and once again she had Tiffany Stratton to thank for shielding her from further punishment by Jax’s tag team partner Lash Legend.
With Stratton continuing to put her body on the line for Green, one would think that, eventually something will have to give. Stratton is a former WWE Women’s Champion in her own right, and will likely have greater ambitions than the role she’s in now.
A Stratton heel turn feels inevitable, and Green’s run as WWE Women’s Champion could be under serious threat when it does. With a unification match with Rhea Ripley coming later down the line, WWE would likely prefer a heel vs. babyface dynamic rather than force Green and Ripley to go one-on-one, so Stratton dethroning Green seems like a real possibility in the near future.
Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace was called up from WWE NXT to SmackDown in January 2026
From one heel turn that’s had plenty of on-screen evidence to point towards, to one that is strictly based on news emerging from behind the scenes in WWE – and Jordynne Grace could potentially be in line for a change in creative direction soon.
Lets be real, ‘The Juggernaut’ really hasn’t had any creative direction for the past five months, as she’s been relegated to WWE Main Event since her last SmackDown appearance in May.
That could soon be about to change however, as a recent report from False Finish has revealed that creative pitches have been made for the formation of a Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile tag team.
There’s no guarantees that these plans would involve Nile and Grace being a heel team, but it seems likelier than them uniting as faces. Neither star has managed to build a connection with the main roster WWE audience, so there chances of success initially would surely be boosted if they portrayed dominant heels.
Cody Rhodes
The heel turn that fans most want to see, but perhaps never will is ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes.
Despite threatening to be a more ruthless version of himself, Rhodes once again proved that he lacks that killer instinct when he failed to deliver a punt kick to Randy Orton at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
This isn’t the first time Rhodes’ morals have slapped him in the face, and fans are getting a bit fed up of seeing him show weakness in big matches.
With the fan frustration towards Rhodes growing louder and louder, WWE should finally pull the trigger and allow him the chance to embrace the hate and freshen up his stale character.
