WWE
From Bronson Reed at Sunday Night’s Main Event to Bayley on Raw, we’ve seen several WWE stars return in recent weeks.
Following these, there have been rumors swirling about other returns which could happen in the coming weeks and months.
Between stars who have been absent for months and those recovering from injuries, there are several names who are likely preparing to step back between the ropes.
Here are five WWE stars who could make their returns in the near future.
Jordynne Grace & Ivy Nile
Recent reports have fuelled a lot of speculation about a new WWE tag-team consisting of Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile.
With both stars “awaiting creative” and neither being injured, Fightful Select recently reported that WWE sources believe this duo is tied to the “Iron Built” trademark WWE recently filed for.
Fightful had reported earlier this year that there was a pitch for Grace and Nile to team up, and “progress was made on the idea”.
With vignettes reportedly filmed over the summer, we could be about to see Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile return to TV, with neither star wrestling on Raw or SmackDown for several months.
Logan Paul
While Paul still appears alongside The Vision faction, he has yet to return to the ring since suffering an injury in May.
Logan Paul has been out of action for almost four months, having torn his tricep at the May 23 Saturday Night’s Main Event special while defending the World Tag Team Championship against the Street Profits alongside Austin Theory.
In July, Logan Paul noted that he was “three months ahead” of schedule for recovery, and has since been spotted with physical therapist Kevin Wilk, who stated that Paul is “looking great”.
With Paul having a bigger presence in Raw segments with each coming week, we could soon see him make an in-ring return, stepping into the ring for the first time since before the summer.
Rusev
Rusev hasn’t wrestled since losing to Je’Von Evans on the July 27 Raw episode. Fans showed concern for Rusev following the bout, during which the star appeared to tell the referee “my hand went numb.”
Rusev’s wife, CJ Perry, recently confirmed on Notsam Wrestling that Rusev has been cleared to compete, and that he will be training at the Performance Center and in Nattie’s Dungeon facility next week.
With confirmation that Rusev is now able to wrestle, it’s only a matter of time until he steps back into the ring on Raw.
Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre has been out of action for almost five months, having not wrestled since losing an Unsanctioned match to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April.
The Scottish Warrior has been working on other projects away from WWE, including filming for the rebooted Highlander movie, as well as the upcoming “Last Druid” film.
With PWInsider recently reporting that McIntyre is back in the US, we could soon see the former Undisputed WWE Champion step back between the ropes.
Now that Sami Zayn holds the top championship, it would make a lot of sense for McIntyre to immediately join the SmackDown world title picture.
