WWE
WWE Survivor Series: WarGames takes place on November 28, with a likely return of the titular men’s and women’s cage match.
While matches are yet to be confirmed for the Daikin Park, Houston, Texas show, Roman Reigns does feature on a poster for the upcoming event.
It’s perhaps too early to say whether Reigns will be competing in the men’s WarGames match or whether he’ll be defending the World Heavyweight Championship on the show.
When it comes to the women’s WarGames match, however, a quick look into the creative crystal ball may indicate who will face off in the cage:
Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley
Flair and Bliss competed in last year’s women’s WarGames match, teaming with AJ Lee, IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley in a victory over Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Asuka and Kairi Sane.
With Flair and Bliss now teaming with Tatum Paxley, opportunity exists to have a slightly stranger edge to this year’s WarGames match, thanks to the recent main roster call-up who would be making her Survivor Series debut.
Bayley
Returning on this week’s WWE Raw, Bayley set her sights on Lyra Valkyria, costing the star a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match taking place on October 10.
Allying Bayley with Flair, Bliss and Paxley would bring a Raw star to the team with it being unlikely that any betrayals will take place in that collective.
Becky Lynch
On opposite sides of the ring in last year’s women’s WarGames match, Lynch would be the unknown entity this year. Intent on being “The Man” on a team that includes Flair and Bayley, it’s unlikely that Lynch would set out to cost her team the match, although stranger things have happened.
Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin
A victory over Bliss, Flair & Paxley at Sunday Night’s Main Event shouldn’t mean an end to the tensions for Cargill, B-Fab & Michin. Indeed, there’s arguably plenty of story left to tell, particularly when two “queens” of WWE are involved, in the form of Cargill and Flair.
Bringing them together in a WarGames ring would make sense for the story as both teams fight to survive and exact violence upon their opposite number.
Lyra Valkyria
The feud between Valkryia and Bayley was reignited upon the veteran star’s return and it could be one that continues to burn for the rest of the year. For Valkyria, now would be the time for the Raw star to surround herself with protection to fend off her former friend, with WarGames being a perfect opportunity to attempt to end the rivalry once and for all.
Maxxine Dupri
A former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, with issues of her own with Becky Lynch in the past, Maxxine Dupri is now a member of The Vision.
A chance to prove her worth in the confines of the WarGames cage, Dupri could have a standout moment in the steel cage, visiting violence upon Lynch, Bayley, Bliss and Paxley before coming face-to-face with Flair.

This year marks the fortieth anniversary of Survivor Series and the fifth to use the WarGames match in its format
Throughout its history, there’s been a balance in the Survivor Series match stipulation that has seen male and female stars compete, as opposed to the Royal Rumble, which only added the women’s iteration of that match in January 2018.
Past years have seen the women’s WarGames match open the show, with the men’s version being the main event. A smattering of title matches have taken place between, with last year seeing Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship and Stephanie Vaquer retain the Women’s World Championship against Nikki Bella.
