WWE WrestleMania 40 is finally here, with a stacked card of 13 bouts across two nights of action in Philadelphia, PA.
While no WrestleMania build is perfect, the anticipation that WWE have built for some of the weekend’s biggest matches is unlike many in recent memory.
Of course most’s minds will immediately jump to the main event’s of both nights, with the overarching narrative focusing on Cody Rhodes’ war with The Bloodline and attempt to finally finish his story.
Aside from that though there’s still plenty to be excited for with six more championships on the line, as well as some scores being settled in across both Raw and SmackDown.
So with all that said, let’s dive in to a full rundown of the card’s for Night One and Two, with predictions and betting odds provided for each bout. Betting odds come courtesy of SkyBet and are correct as of 7:00 ET on Friday, April 5.
13. Rhea Ripley (c) VS. Becky Lynch – Women’s World Championship
In what appears set to be the opener of the weekend’s festivities, Rhea Ripley will attempt to cap off one exact year as Women’s World Champion is style when she takes on yet another of pro wrestling’s four horsewomen: Becky Lynch.
Much like her match with Charlotte Flair last year, expect Ripley and Lynch to tear the house down and give everyone else that has to follow them a true run for their money.
While the build hasn’t been perfect by any means, this one would have a real shot at main eventing WrestleMania’s gone by, which is a testament to the strength of the rest of the card.
This is by far the most threat Ripley’s dominant title reign has been under, and there certainly is a good chance The Man takes the World Title home.
However, it’s hard to argue that Lynch truly needs the win, Ripley is the brightest star in the entire division and it honestly feels unnecessary to take the title off her so soon.
Which is a crazy thing to say considering she’s had it an entire year.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley
Betting Favorite: Rhea Ripley 1/4 (Rhea Ripley 1/4, Becky Lynch 11/4)
