Absent AEW Star Re-Signs With The Company AEW

An AEW star who has not wrestled for the company in a year has reportedly re-signed with the company.

Anthony Ogogo made his AEW debut back at Double or Nothing in 2021, where he was defeated by Cody Rhodes on the show, and he has rarely featured on AEW television since that point.

Ogogo last wrestled in November 2022, and last wrestled for AEW in August 2022.

In an update on his status per Fightful Select (subscription required), Ogogo’s absence has been due to there not being any creative plans set for him, but he is not set to leave the company any time soon.

Fightful enquired about Ogogo’s status during his absence, with them being told that he is healthy and available to wrestle, as well as still being on the roster page and under a full-time deal.

On top of that, Ogogo reportedly signed a two year contract extension around the end of 2022 or the start of 2023, that would keep him with the company until the beginning of 2025.

Ogogo is currently in London to do media ahead of this Sunday’s All In event.

Another AEW star has reportedly been in discussions for a new deal recently, which you can read here.
