An absent WWE star has sent an ominous message that he will be ‘back soon’ following an attack on his former rival.
On this week’s NXT (November 21), which was actually taped a week prior, Eddy Thorpe made his return to TV after almost two months out.
However, his welcome back was the opposite of warm as Thorpe fell victim to a post-match beatdown after defeating Charlie Dempsey.
After the bell Thorpe was attacked by Dempsey, Myles Borne and Drew Gulak, leaving him laying in the centre on the ring.
Taking to Twitter afterwards, Damon Kemp sent a message of congratulations to the trio for putting down his former rival, but suggested his own stamp would be felt soon enough:
Kemp said:
Good work boys, I’ll be back soon…
Thorpe and Kemp have a fair amount of history together, with the pair facing off throughout the summer in a feud that also involved Kemp’s real-life brother Gable Steveson.
Kemp has been out of action since the October 17 edition of NXT, where he competed in the Bada Bing Bada Boom Tag Team Battle Royal alongside his partner Drew Gulak.
However, the 24-year-old did recently return to the ring at a November 10 NXT live event, so one would expect he will be back on TV soon enough.
