Adam Copeland Potentially Set For AEW Gimmick Change AEW

On tonight’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view there was a surprising ending to a big six-man match that teased a possible change for Adam Copeland.

At AEW Dynasty, there was a six-man tag team match that saw Eddie Kingston, Mark Briscoe and Adam Copeland take on the powerful trio of House of Black – Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews and Brody King.

Copeland and Malakai Black eyed each other ominously throughout the match and only made contact at the very end.

That contact came when Malaki spit black mist in Copeland’s face, and then hit his finishing move The End to pick up the pinfall victory.

Given the effect of the black mist historically, it’s possible that this could lead to a gimmick change and darker side for Copeland, and it may even have been an attempt from Black to recruit him into the group.

Whether that does happen or not, one thing that is looking very likely is Black challenging Copeland for the TNT Championship some time soon.

Elsewhere on tonight’s pay-per-view, the show opened with Kazuchika Okada making his first successful title defense of the AEW Continental Championship, beating PAC.
