A new report has revealed the reason for AEW star and current ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion Jay White’s ongoing absence.
At AEW Big Business, Jay White defeated Darby Allin in a first time ever clash. Post match, White and Bullet Club Gold assaulted Allin, as well as split from The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass.
While Darby suffered a broken foot, Bullet Club Gold have also been absent from AEW programming over the past few weeks aside from pre-taped segments.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update, noting “Switchblade” Jay White hasn’t appeared live on AEW Dynamite or Collision because he is unable to work in Canada due to his visa.
With the most recent episodes of Dynamite and Collision taking place in Ottawa, Toronto and Quebec City respectively, White was unable to travel with the company’s roster.
The report notes that the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is set to be back in the fold when All Elite Wrestling begin running shows in the United States again.
It remains to be seen when White’s official return to AEW TV will take place at the time of this writing.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Jay White’s AEW status when they become available.
