Ace Steel Opens Up About AEW Locker Room AEW

Former AEW name Ace Steel, closely associated with CM Punk, has opened up about some of the stars he interacted with.

Steel was a former producer for AEW Collision having previously been released from the company in the fallout of AEW All Out.

His return to the company would be linked to CM Punk’s return at AEW Collision in June 2023.

With CM Punk’s AEW contract being terminated on September 2, 2023, after what happened at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, Steel would find himself out of the company on September 7 and would react to this release shortly thereafter.

In a recent appearance on the Wrestling With Rip Rogers podcast, Rogers spoke more about his role in AEW, recalling:

“I was Punker’s producer, so I produced some good stuff, produced his dog collar match (against MJF)… I did have fun, I had a lot of fun. I got to expand my skills as far as that went for producing.”

He would also discuss the members of the AEW locker room that he liked, saying:

“I love Darby (Allin). Darby’s great … Believe it or not, Darby’s been to the Harley Race camps.

“Brody King has been to Harley Race camp, in fact, I was at one he was at.

“MJF, he’s got a future on him, obviously. I loved working with Serena (Deeb) and Mercedes (Martinez).

“Jade Cargill, just signed with WWE, she was always very nice.”

Also in line for praise was Malakai Black with Steel describing him as a pleasure to work with.

He would also share similar praise for Powerhouse Hobbs, Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter.

Steel also stated that he produced matches for AEW Dark and served as agent for a number of women’s matches for the show.
