AEW Announces New Tournament To Conclude At Full Gear

Tonight on AEW: Dynamite, AEW officially announced a new tournament where the finals will take place at Full Gear in November.

Essentially, the tournament will take place on Dynamite and will be a single-elimination tournament.  The two finalists will face off at Full Gear.

The winner will get a shot at the AEW World Championship. So, who will be in the tournament?

The announcement took place while Hangman Page was on commentary. Excalibur revealed he could announce 3 of the men who will participate in the tournament.

Jungle Boy and Rey Fenix were the first two announced. The final man made Hangman Page almost spit his drink out.

The 3rd person announced was none other than Kenny Omega. The announcement clearly caught Page off-guard. He immediately left commentary.

It would seem Omega is going to officially be back in the singles division. Will this prompt Hangman to enter the tournament?

We don’t know who the other 5 guys will be, but it would seem Hangman could be one of them. So far, AEW has had a few tournaments. Some have been better than others.

However, this is a tournament around the main title. You’d think AEW will put a ton of effort to ensuring it’s good.
