An update has emerged on AEW star Bandido, who has been out of action recovering from surgery in recent months.
Bandido suffered a wrist injury in June 2023 during his match with Konosuke Takeshita.
As previously reported, Bandido underwent successful surgery in July 2023, and has been on the mend since then.
Per Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bandido is expected to be fully cleared in the next few weeks.
The luchador signed with AEW in November 2022, following his AEW debut that September.
Prior to Bandido signing with AEW, there was speculation about the former ROH World Champion joining WWE.
Bandido was offered contracts by both AEW and WWE, but ultimately chose to put pen to paper in AEW so he wouldn’t be away from his home in Mexico as much.
One luchador who did choose to sign with WWE around this time was Dragon Lee, who currently wrestles for the NXT brand.
A major update has emerged on WWE’s plans for Dragon Lee, which you can read more about right here.
