First Time Ever Match Announced For AEW Big Business

First Time Ever Match Announced For AEW Big Business AEW

A first time ever singles match has been announced for AEW Big Business on March 13 by company President Tony Khan.

With Revolution 2024 now in the books, AEW will now look to building their next brand new pay-per-view offering: AEW Dynasty – which was announced to be taking place on April 21.

Before that however, the company has what could prove to be one of their biggest ever episodes of Dynamite, when AEW Big Business comes to Boston’s TD Garden on Wednesday, March 13.

While much of the hype for the event circulates around the potential AEW debuts of Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada, nothing has been confirmed as of this time regarding their appearances.

One thing we do know we will be getting at Big Business however, is a first-ever match between two of the company’s top stars.

As announced by Tony Khan at the AEW Revolution media scrum, ‘Switchblade’ Jay White will take on Darby Allin at the event – the pair’s first-ever singles match together in their careers.

Both Allin and White have crossed paths inside an AEW ring a single time before, however, that was in an eight-man tag team match from the August 23 edition of Collision.

The announcement comes not long after Allin had gone through a hellacious bout in the main event of Revolution, with the 31-year-old teaming with The Icon Sting to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks.

Despite picking up the win, due to Sting’s retirement the titles have now been vacated – as was confirmed by Tony Khan at the media scrum.
