Brand New AEW PPV Name & Date Confirmed AEW

Details of a brand new AEW pay-per-view have been confirmed during tonight’s Revolution 2024 event from Greensboro.

Revolution on pay-per-view played host to a three-way match for the AEW World Championship between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page.

In an attempt to prevent Swerve from getting the pinfall victory, Hangman pulled referee Paul Turner out of the ring and dropped him to the ground.

Page then ended up taking out a second referee, laying actual punches on Bryce Remsburg as the action continued but again without a referee.

Original referee Paul Turner got back in the ring as Samoa Joe had Hangman Adam Page in the Coquina Clutch with Page tapping out before Strickland could get back to interfere.

With commentary wondering if Hangman was tapping out because he was truly submitting, or if he only did it to specifically prevent Swerve Strickland from winning the title, Swerve sat stunned as Joe left the ring in triumph.

After the match, the announcement of the next AEW pay-per-view was made.

AEW Dynasty, which we’d reported had been trademarked recently, was officially confirmed.

It’ll take place in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday April 21, 2024.
