An absent AEW star has provided an update on their recovery from double knee surgery that will see them out of action for a period of time.

In August, Dustin Rhodes revealed that he was set to undergo double knee surgery, sharing photos going into and coming out of the operation.

With Rhodes recovering from the operation, the AEW star has now shared an update on his progress, tweeting:

“Today marks 2 weeks since surgery.

“Don’t really know how I was doing it these last 5 yrs. Knees were destroyed.

“Dressing off finally. I look forward to a slow and methodical rehab. Slow and steady.

“Thank yall for all of your support and prayers. God has it under control. 🤘🏼❤️”

The tweet was accompanied by photos of Rhodes’ knees, featuring the surgery scars and tape. You can view the photo at this link.

In his absence, the future of both the ROH titles held by Dustin Rhodes has been revealed.

The ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship was recently defended by Sammy Guevara, Marshall & Ross Von Erich at Death Before Dishonor, with Shane Taylor Promotions winning the gold.

With Rhodes also holding the ROH World Tag Team Champion with Guevara, the absent star was replaced by RUSH at the recent pay-per-view event.
