2023 AEW Blood & Guts Match Announced

2023 AEW Blood & Guts Match Announced AEW

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, the return of the Blood and Guts match was announced. Find out when and where the bloody battle is set to occur!

After the Young Bucks with Hangman Adam Page issued an open challenge on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, it was accepted by an unlikely trio.

The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver and Alex Reynolds) approached backstage to make their intentions known, saying that they were ready to fight despite Hangman’s skepticism.

The two trios later had a match, and the story throughout was Hangman’s reluctance to really tee off against his former pals, the Dark Order.

But in the end, it was in fact a Buckshot Lariat from Hangman on John Silver (at the urgency of Matt Jackson) which captured the pinfall victory for the ‘Hung Bucks’.

However after the match, Hangman and the Bucks lingered to check on John Silver, a move that ultimately left themselves vulnerable.

When the Blackpool Combat Club with Konosuke Takeshita made a run in to attack the Elite, Dark Order did nothing to stop the mauling instead leaving the ring up the ramp.

Eddie Kingston would eventually join but the BCC would maintain the upper hand as Jon Moxley turned a blind eye to the eventual assault of Kingston, using the time to instead get a microphone.

With Jon Moxley getting on the aforementioned mic, he said it was time for this feud to end – July 19th in Boston at TD Garden, “just like someone once said, Blood and Guts!”

The actual lineups haven’t been confirmed, and with Bryan Danielson almost certainly ruled out of the Blackpool Combat Club side due to injury, there are some question marks.

As it stands, the most likely lineup seems to be four-on-four, with Page, the Bucks and Kingston vs Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and Takeshita.

Kenny Omega could end up being involved on the Elite side, but that would mean the BCC would need someone else, and there’s no sign of where that would come from right now.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, MJF attempted to befriend Adam Cole after the latter was pulled from Forbidden Door due to illness this past Sunday but returned tonight.

However, his real-life girlfriend Britt Baker has now been pulled from tonight’s show due to illness and her match with Ruby Soho in the Owen Hart tournament has been postponed until next week.
