Two Former WWE World Champions Confirmed For Match In AEW AEW

Tony Khan has announced big singles match for Wednesday’s (January 31) edition of AEW Dynamite.

Khan took to Twitter to announce that Jeff Hardy will go one-on-one against former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

The AEW President hyped this match up while confirming that AEW Rankings will also return on Wednesday’s show.

Tony Khan shared the following preview:

This Wednesday 1/31, New Orleans, LA, Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite

@TBSNetwork 8pm ET/7pm CT

@JonMoxley vs @JEFFHARDYBRAND

Mox vs Jeff Hardy 1-on-1 for the first time ever, fighting for a valuable win on the night that the AEW Rankings make a long-awaited return: THIS WEDNESDAY!

Earlier in January Tony Khan announced that AEW Rankings would be returning “this month”.

This will mean that wins and losses will directly contribute to title matches being made, with only stars at the top of the ranking able to receive shots at their division’s respective championships.

The advertised match will be Moxley’s fourth AEW bout of the year, following his return on January 20.

It will be Jeff Hardy’s third straight singles bout, following his matches against Darby Allin on the January 19 episode of Rampage, and Swerve Strickland on the January 24 edition of Dynamite.
