Tonight’s (July 13) edition of AEW Dynamite saw a championship eliminator match between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita.
If Takeshita could pick up the victory, he would earn a future title shot at the AEW Interim World Champion, Jon Moxley.
With major match action between the two, Takeshita was busted open during a picture in picture commercial break as fans returned to the action to now see the former DDT star covered in his own blood.
When Takeshita took to the skies to drive the Interim AEW World Champion to the mat, he was then able to get Mox back in the ring for a massive frog splash with a very close nearfall however, no dice.
Not satisfied hitting on brutal Paradigm Shift, Moxley attempted to get Takeshita for a Death Rider but Takeshita reversed. Head butts were exchanged and Mox finally got the Death Rider, into massive elbows and finally picked up the victory via submission, tapping Takeshita out after a hard fought battle.
Still scheduled to occur on AEW Dynamite, a AEW World Tag Team Championship three-way match pitting champs the Young Bucks vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland’s team, Swerve in our Glory vs. Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks and fans will again hear from the Christian Cage and Luchasaurus.
AEW Dynamite kicked off with the big TNT Championship match between Orange Cassidy taking on champ, Wardlow.
