AEW Advertises Major Names For Dynamite Same Day As NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 AEW

A big announcement on tonight’s AEW Dynamite with implications for future angles in both AEW and NJPW.

On tonight’s (September 14) AEW Dynamite, AEW announced that the first AEW Dynamite of 2023, and the show running against NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17, would be the Pacific Northwest debut of All Elite Wrestling.

AEW has yet to journey north of California and this will be the first show in the promotion for hometown favorites Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson and of course, referee Aubrey Edwards.

Featured on the advertisement for the show, set to be held at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, January 4th 2023 include other popular AEW stars.

There is still no sign of Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks or predictably, the reportedly injured CM Punk.

However, featured on the ad are MJF, Jade Cargill, FTR, Keith Lee. Britt Baker, Hangman Adam Page, Sting, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Toni Storm and Claudio Castagnoli.

Notably, NJPW is hosting their Wrestle Kingdom 17 event in the Tokyo Dome on the same day… well sort of.

While Tokyo is 16 hours ahead with the flight time from Japan back to Seattle clocking in 9 hours… no one would be able to appear at both shows, right?

Let us all start manifesting the first meeting between Darby Allin and Bryan Danielson for the first week of 2023 right now!
