After a hard fought championship battle (and a little help from some friends) there is another new champion in All Elite Wrestling!
A massive match between two former friends took center stage at AEW Full Gear.
AEW Interim Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defended her championship against Jamie Hayter.
While Hayter was originally alone at ringside, subsequent interferences by both Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Rebel arguably gave Hayter the advantage.
After multiple stunning nearfalls and a lot of awesome offense from both combatants, it was eventually Hayter’s night.
After hitting her Hayterade (ripcord lariat) Jamie Hayter became the new Interim AEW Women’s World Champion by capturing the pinfall victory.
“It took a village, but she got it done,” said Taz as Hayter celebrated the victory in the ring with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Rebel.
Also occurring on AEW Full Gear, the Elite returned debuting a new theme song and received a thunderous response from the crowd including a special related CM Punk chant.
And the in-ring return of Saraya after she took on Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in a big match.
We also saw another title change when Samoa Joe won the TNT Title in a three-way against Powerhouse Hobbs and defending champion Wardlow.
