Mistico made his AEW debut at this past Wednesday’s Dynamite in a match that will air on the October 20 episode of Rampage.

The former WWE star, where he performed as the original Sin Cara, will make his AEW debut as the CMLL World Historic Middleweight Champion going  up against the CMLL World Historic Welterweight Champion Rocky Romero.

Previously, it was reported that the match would be an authentic Arena Mexico match.

The announcement of Mistico’s match had a positive impact on AEW Dynamite ticket sales.

According to Fightful Select, this also led to positivity behind the scenes in AEW, with it being reported that:

“AEW sources we spoke to were very happy with Mistico’s appearance, and gave him some credit for helping move AEW Dynamite tickets.”

Spoilers for the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage, including what happened when Mistico faced Romero, can be found here.

This weekend’s Denver Broncos vs Green Bay Packers NFL fixture will also see CMLL bringing their action to the United States thanks to a partnership between the Broncos and CMLL.
