AEW Star Shares Heartfelt Message Ahead Of Sting’s Retirement AEW

With Sting’s retirement match taking place at AEW Revolution in 2024, Dax Harwood of FTR has commented on the Icon’s recent work.

The announcement of Sting’s retirement plans came on the October 18, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.

Sting would later say that he wanted to retire earlier but the inclusion of Ric Flair had convinced him to stay until Revolution.

Flair was previously reported as being involved through to March 2024, with it later being reported that Flair had signed a two-year deal with AEW.

Sting has been a regular feature on AEW television since his debut for the company in December 2020.

With the 64-year-old continuing to wrestle on a regular basis, Dax Harwood tweeted his thoughts on the WWE Hall of Famer, saying:

“I hope none of us, as fans, are taking these last few months with @Sting for granted. What an Icon.”

The replies would see a growing number of positive comments, with Sting himself replying with a fist-bump emoji.

Sting’s legacy in wrestling spans the globe and the decades, starting in 1985 where he would team with the future Ultimate Warror, Jim Hellwig.

His career would see him amass an impressive number of titles including being a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and four-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016, with highlights from his speech below.
