AEW Name Reacts To ‘Dream Job’ After Signing Multi-Year Deal AEW

Ian Riccaboni recently signed a multi-year contract with AEW and has gone into detail over what this new deal means to him.

As recently reported, Riccaboni serves as the lead announcer for ROH on HonorClub and recently filled in for Kevin Kelly on AEW Collision.

Having responded to the news by saying the hat didn’t get him to the job, the announcer has now gone into more detail on the deal.

Addressing the multi-year deal on Twitter, Riccaboni said:

“Hey! I heard from a lot of folks today regarding this. I just want to say the AEW’s team is first class.

“Hosting wrestling on cable has been a dream of mine. I am thrilled about the creative approach that gives me both that and Saturdays with my family. ❤️

“The team had previously honored my contract that had a rollover clause from Sinclair as they retooled ROH. I appreciated them keeping me associated with something that remains very special to me as it is rebuilt while also sharing the love of wrestling on cable with AEW.

“I’ve kept a journal over the years. The insecurities. Avoiding or turning down dream jobs. The fears of being a bad parent or husband or simply not my best while still chasing my dreams. I have found myself surrounded by a well-knit safety net.

“I’m hoping to turn the journal into something to release to the public at some point. But! This arrangement is a dream come true. ROH and select AEW dates. Means I can still coach soccer, basketball, and T-ball, keep pursuing my MBA, and keep my name in the hat for school board.

“In short, I appreciate all the kind words and the support for last night and I am excited to give you my best as part of the AEW/ROH teams for years to come. Happy Wrestling!”

Riccaboni has been associated with ROH since 2014 making his ring announcer debut in May 2015 and becoming lead announcer in February 2017.

Per previous reports, not only have fans praised Riccaboni’s performance on Collision, but he also received heavy praise backstage for his performance on the show.
