An update has emerged after fans raised concerns about the status of an AEW star following a match which took place at the Collision tapings.

With AEW Collision being taped at last night’s Dynamite, fans in attendance witnessed Kyle Fletcher in action at the Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl in San Diego, California.

During the match against ELP, a number of fans believed that Fletcher had picked up an injury, with Bryan Alvarez sharing an update on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:

“I was told that he appeared to be fine.

“They think he might have been dehydrated, might have been something else. But he was not hurt, and he did not get a concussion, which I know fans were concerned that happened, but I was told there was none of that.”

Fletcher returned from injury at AEW Double or Nothing in May of this year, having been forced to vacate the TNT Championship, ending his second reign.

Built For Business

There’s little argument that Kyle Fletcher is built for business when it comes to his current AEW career.

An impressive specimen, the Australian star has separated himself from the shadow of Will Ospreay in style, reinventing himself and his look and defining his own destiny under the auspices of the Don Callis Family.

A two-time TNT Champion and former World Trios Champion (alongside Mark Davis and Kazuchika Okada), there’s little doubt that the future will see the ambitious star hold more titles in AEW.

While he may no longer be associated with Ospreay, who now favors a relationship with the Death Riders, there’s the possibility that they could cross paths again, particularly as Ospreay targets the World Championship match at AEW All In London on August 30. After all, the top title has to come calling at some point, surely?

In the meantime, Takeshita is the current AEW International Champion, having defeated Kazuchika Okada for the title at Double or Nothing, only to be ejected from the Don Callis Family by the returning Fletcher. Opportunities to settle that rivalry exist, and it would add another string to Fletcher’s bow to claim the title.

Suffice to say, the future is bright for Kyle Fletcher, who continues to be a shining light in the still densely packed Don Callis Family.
