‘Don’t Ever Say That Again’ – AEW Star Recalls Getting In Trouble For Promo AEW

An AEW star has recalled getting himself in hot water behind the scenes in the company following a particularly fiery promo.

While Jack Perry is known for his edgier side nowadays, during his lengthy feud with Christian Cage through late 2022 and early 2023, the 26-year-old was firmly a babyface.

Perry showcased a glimpse of his future foul-mouthed side during a promo in which he called Christian “the biggest p*ssy’ he had met in his entire life.

Speaking on Hey! (EW), Jack Perry reflected on the moment and revealed the trouble that his use of vocabulary had caused with AEW higher-ups.

Perry said:

“Literally that line exposed all the p*ssies back here, because I got in so much trouble about that word

“They’re emailing me saying, ‘Please don’t ever say that again.'”

Instead of heeding the warning Perry attempted to take it further by getting merchandise made with said word featured on it, something AEW also unsurprisingly weren’t too keen on.

Perry continued:

“I made a shirt with that word on it, ‘Never wear this again or else we’re going to do this and this.'”

Since turning heel at Forbidden Door on June 25, Perry has completely abandoned his former ‘Jungle Boy’ moniker and found great success thus far, capturing his first singles title in AEW, the FTW Championship.

However, due to the title not being officially recognised by AEW, Perry hasn’t seemed too keen on keeping it around previously announcing he was set to retire it for good on this week’s Collision (August 26).

Instead though, it seems as if Perry will have to defend it one more time as former champion Hook takes on Perry at All In Wembley Stadium on August 27, as announced by AEW President Tony Khan.
