Jamie Hayter lost the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing in May 2023 and would take time off from the company due to injury.
With Tony Khan having recently addressed Hayter’s status with the company, details of her projected return date have also emerged.
In a recent interview, Khan had said that neither AEW nor Hayter know when she is going to be back, though he was “very confident you’ll see in a matter of months.”
Dave Meltzer has now provided further details on Hayter’s return in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, stating:
“The current estimated return time for Jamie Hayter is February, due to various injuries, although that’s at best a rough estimate.”
It had previously been reported that “barring a miraculous recovery”, Hayter wouldn’t be cleared for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium on August 27, 2023.
The report would also note that it wasn’t expected that Hayter would return in 2023.
WrestleTalk wishes Hayter well in her recovery.
