NJPW Star Mocks Forbidden Door Production After Mix Up

NJPW Star Mocks Forbidden Door Production After Mix Up AEW/NJPW

An NJPW star has mocked the production of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door after a mix-up during the pre-show on June 25, 2023.

At the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, El Phantasmo faced Stu Grayson, with the former Bullet Club member scoring the victory.

It was his entrance theme that has got El Phantasmo talking, however, taking the time to mock AEW’s production.

In a post to social media, El Phantasmo tweeted:

“Sorry AEW had young boys on music and decided to play my old theme lol.

“Sorry Punk was scared to fight me in Canada. But Toronto, ilysm.

“Best wrestling crowd in the world. What a night 🍁 💕”

The pre-show can be seen at the link below, with the time cue of 33:06 for those wanting to hear El Phantasmo’s theme.

During his time as a member of Bullet Club in NJPW, El Phantasmo came out to the sounds of HDMNG Club.

At NJPW Sakura Genesis in April 2023, El Phantasmo was cast out of Bullet Club following the trios match that also featured KENTA and David Finaly against Tama Tonga, HIKULEO and Master Wato.

El Phantasmo had attempted to intervene in Finlay’s post-match beat down of Tama Tonga, which led to the new leader of the Bullet Club attacking Phantasmo.

The tensions in the group would see KENTA and Taiji Ishimori side with the Bullet Club leader, expelling El Phantasmo in the process.

Eddie Kingston and Lance Archer are expected to make an appearance at the upcoming NJPW Independence Day shows in Tokyo.

The two-day event will see the fall out from NJPW Dominion on June 4, which saw Finlay’s new Bullet Club grow in number and dominance.
