AEW Name Set To Return To TV AEW

An AEW name who has been away from TV may now be set to make his return in the near future.

AEW Collision commentator Kevin Kelly has been on a hiatus from his duties over the past month due to his separate obligations to commentate for NJPW’s G1 Climax 33 tournament.

While Kelly was always expected to return following the tournament’s conclusion, it seems now as if that has been confirmed courtesy of a tweet from his Collision stand-in, Ring of Honor’s Ian Riccaboni.

Following this weeks Collision (August 12), Riccaboni took to Twitter to announce that he would now be returning to ROH TV and exiting Collision.

Riccaboni wrote:

#AEWCollision has been unreal but I must return to my home planet. Thank you for the love and support @AEW fans!

See you every week on @ringofhonor, Thursdays at 7 PM ET on WatchROH.com!

Happy Wrestling, Everybody!

Riccaboni also shared some photos from behind the announcer’s desk, which you can view below.

While Riccaboni didn’t directly address Kelly’s return, Kelly has always been referred to as an official commentator for the Collision brand.

The G1 Climax came to its conclusion on Sunday 13 August, at Tokyo’s Sumo Hall, with NJPW veterans Tetsuya Naito and Kazuchika Okada duking it out to win their third and fifth G1 title respectively.
