Real Reason AEW Can Use This WWE Entrance Theme AEW/WWE

Scotty 2 Hotty made his AEW debut in a match that took place before Dynamite New Year’s Smash on December 27, 2023.

Under the name Scott Taylor, the former WWE Tag Team Champion entered to the WWE Too Cool theme music.

Fightful Select have revealed the reason why AEW has been able to use the Too Cool theme, along with details of other iconic themes they have access to.

According to the report, AEW has the rights to use Too Cool’s theme having licensed it as “part of the music library” that also includes the Hardy Boyz theme and Hardcore and Crash Holly’s theme.

In his debut, Taylor teamed with The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass, defeating the team of The Gunns, Matt Menard and Jake Hager with a familiar move.

It was also noted by Fightful that Taylor had been “considered for (AEW) matches” previously and had been “open to performing for them in addition to his coaching duties.”

Scott served as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center for a number of years until he asked for his release in November 2021.

He was originally signed to WWE in 1997, teaming with Brian Christopher for the first time at WrestleMania XIV in March 1998.

During his time on the WWE roster, Scotty 2 Hotty held the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and both the WWF and WWE Tag Team Championship.

He held the WWF Tag Team Championship with Grand Master Sexay and the WWE Tag Team Championship with Rikishi.
