While AEW stars may feel compelled to keep things copacetic in the CM Punk drama, apparently one spouse is opting out of remaining silent!
One AEW star has found themselves in the middle of a bit of a fracas surrounding the CM Punk and Elite drama after recently weighing in.
While speaking on his podcast, Matt Hardy discussed having been first hand witness to the overall goings on backstage in AEW and felt comfortable commenting on his feelings.
While the quotes may have begun to make their way around online, Hardy waded back in to make a clarification.
Matt Hardy writing on Twitter:
“My comments from this week’s @matthardypod have been misconstrued.
“I WAS NOT at All Out 2022. I DID NOT say I witnessed the events at All Out.
“I witnessed the entire process in real time over the months & stand by my comment that the Elite were not in the wrong.
It was then that his wife and notoriously candid Reby Hardy who Quote Tweeted Matt’s statement, adding her comment:
“Mine weren’t. F**k CM Punk.”
Speculation surrounding whether or not CM Punk will ever return to AEW remains unclear.
Tony Khan has recently stated he cannot comment regarding whether or not Kenny Omega or the Young Bucks will be returning to television soon as they have been featured in vignettes.
The Bucks and Omega have also been backstage at Dynamite the past couple of weeks.
