After several weeks of teases, an AEW star seems to have finally sealed the deal to become a full fledged heel: attacking a beloved veteran.
When CM Punk was set to face off against Ricky Starks for what he has dubbed the ‘Real World Championship’, he set up a special guest enforcer to ensure things went down the middle.
Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat served as special guest enforcer for tonight’s AEW Collision main event between CM Punk and Ricky Starks.
However by the end of the segment, Starks’ heelish teases became clear when he attacked the legend!
After CM Punk defeated Ricky Starks to retain the ‘Real World Championship’, Starks seemed to handle the loss very poorly… by waging a beatdown on the legendary Steamboat.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Collision, it seemed that the AEW All In at London’s Wembley stadium card began to shape up even more as FTR challenged the Young Bucks and Samoa Joe challenged CM Punk.
Also already announced for the card at Wembley Stadium so far, a big AEW World Championship match where champ MJF puts his title on the line against recent bestie, Adam Cole.
