AEW
An AEW star has been pulled from an upcoming planned championship match next week after suffering a knee injury.
Ring of Honor’s 2025 Final Battle pay-per-view event is set to take place next Friday, December 5, and there has been a change made to the planned ROH World Championship match on the show.
Taking to a live broadcast ahead of tonight’s special episode of AEW Collision, Tony Khan announced that ROH World Champion Bandido was set to defend his championship on the show against Rush of LFI.
However, Tony announced that Rush has suffered a knee injury, and would be unable to challenge Bandido for the title on the show.
Instead, Tony Khan announced the return of Survival of the Fittest, with Bandido defending the ROH World Championship against Sammy Guevara, Komander, Hechicero, Blake Christian and The Beast Mortos.
The show will also see ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defend her title against CMLL’s Persephone, as well as Ricochet making the first defence of his newly won AEW National Championship.
We wish Rush a full and complete recovery from his knee injury.
