AEW Star Responds To Former Partner: ‘You Couldn’t Say It To My Face?’ AEW

A popular AEW tag team is no more, as AEW aired a vignette on last night’s Rampage show where Mike Santana announced that he will go out on his own.

Santana missed over a year of action after suffering an injury in last year’s Blood & Guts match.

Prior to his injury, Santana and Ortiz were rumoured to have suffered a falling out, which led to the pair not competing in a standard two on two tag team bout since February 2022.

Following the announcement that the team had broken up, Ortiz took to Twitter, where he responded to Santana going out on his own.

He responded:

What a way to find out years of having your back meant nothing.Good luck without your “crutch” Just remember it helped you walk for the last 14+ years. Hope your legs are good. Thank you for being honest for once. But you couldn’t say it to my face? You know you still can, right?

Santana and Ortiz returned on the August 23 AEW Dynamite show, where they were revealed as the final two members of the Blackpool Combat Club’s team for Stadium Stampede.
