Current AEW International Champion Roderick Strong of Undisputed Kingdom says he is going to “break” Kyle O’Reilly.
On the April 13 AEW Battle of the Belts X, Roderick Strong defeated Rocky Romero in an AEW International Championship Eliminator Match. Post match, Kyle O’Reilly came out to congratulate Strong for the win and check on Romero to help him to his feet.
This led to Strong and The Undisputed Kingdom turning on their former friend O’Reilly, laying him out with a jumping knee.
After his betrayal, AEW cameras caught up with Roderick Strong to get an explanation for his actions towards Kyle O’Reilly. He said:
“Why, Kyle? Why? Why did you make me do that? You put that decision into my hands, and I had to put you down.”
“I know, Kyle. I said, you know, I respect the fact that you want to do it on your own, but there’s something that you didn’t realize. You don’t get to choose if you do it on your own.”
“I’m the one that chooses if you do it on your own and now, from here on out, you’re going to do it on your own. You’re going to do it against me.”
“Kyle, your comeback was sweet and I swear to you, I smiled and I cried because I was so happy to have you back.”
“But I want you to know this. When we step into the ring, I am going to break you and I am going to end you forever.”
Roderick Strong will defend the AEW International Championship against Kyle O’Reilly on April 21 at AEW Dynasty. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
