AEW Stars Impressed Backstage Officials With Recent Performance

Two AEW stars reportedly impressed those backstage in the company during a recent match.

The AEW Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament came to an end on last week’s AEW Dynamite show, when MJF and Adam Cole picked up the win over Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia in the final.

Before the final, MJF and Cole had defeated the team of Big Bill and Brian Cage on the prior week’s Dynamite show in the tournament semi-final.

Bill and Cage defeated the team of Matt Hardy and Jeff Jarrett on AEW Rampage to earn their spot in the semi-finals, and their performance had a lot of praise both online and behind the scenes.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), there were a lot of people impressed with Cage and Bill backstage at Rampage when they teamed together.

The report also notes that both men were happy to team with one another during the tournament.

The AEW World Tag Team Championship match between Adam Cole and MJF against FTR is set for this week’s episode of AEW Collision in Hartford, Connecticut.

Cage is currently a part of the Mogul Embassy alongside Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana and the Gates of Agony.
