Former AEW Tag Team Champion Teases Chasing Title Again AEW

AEW star Anthony Bowens has teased returning to his tag team roots after Tony Khan’s announcement regarding the future of the AEW tag team title.

After Sting’s final match ended in he and Darby Allin being victorious over Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, the Young Bucks, to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship, it led to a question of what the future held for the title.

In the post-AEW Revolution media scrum, Tony Khan revealed that there would be a tournament to determine the new tag team champs.

Since the announcement was made, stars from AEW have reacted including former tag team champion, Anthony Bowens.

Taking to Twitter, Bowens wrote:

“Did someone say tag team tournament?”

Anthony Bowens, Max Caster and Daddy Ass Billy Gunn continue to hold the AEW Trios Championship title while they’ve joined forces with Bullet Club Gold.

While Bullet Club Gold (Jay White, Colten and Austin Gunn) happen to hold the ROH Six-Man titles, their ‘super faction’ is collectively called the Bang Bang Scissor Gang.

On the AEW Revolution Zero Hour the Bang Bang Scissor Gang was able to emerge victorious over an assortment of foes in Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Private Party and Willie Mack.
