Tony Khan Reveals Gift He Received From NJPW President At Forbidden Door AEW

AEW owner Tony Khan has commented on a gift that he recently received from the president of NJPW Takami Ohbari.

With AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door now in the record books, featuring another strong Wrestling Observer star rating for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship match between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega, Tony Khan is obviously happy with a show that was previously reported as being a record-breaking live gate.

The love between the two company leaders goes beyond what they’re doing on our screens, though, with a photo recently being shared online of Khan in an NJPW jacket (which can be seen below).

Tony Khan would see the tweet and reply to it, thanking the NJPW President, saying:

“Thank you, it was a very kind gift at #ForbiddenDoor from the great @TAKAMIOHBARI.”
.

Ohbari would later respond to Khan, writing:

“I hope you like it.”

This would lead to a reply from Khan who confirmed his feelings about the jacket, stating:

“I love it! Thank you very much!”

With the second AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door being a success, there’s no doubt that the relationship between both companies will continue.

Following the PPV, Khan addressed the online criticism of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s performance, referring to the NJPW star as a “legend”.
