AEW’s Latest Trademark Filing Revealed AEW

AEW has recently filed a new trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office with the filing awaiting assignment.

The new application was found on the USPTO Report website and is dated June 26, 2023.

According to the application, the trademark in question would be for the term AEW: RISE TO THE TOP.

Per the application:

Mark For: AEW: RISE TO THE TOP™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of downloadable game software; Downloadable video game programs; Downloadable computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones; Downloadable electronic game software for use on handheld computers and mobile gaming devices.

Exploring the USPTO report further, the application was filed with the attorney name Bradley M. Stohry of Reichel Stohry Dean LLP.

The primary US classes for the application are:

021: Electrical Apparatus, Machines and Supplies

023: Cutlery, Machinery, Tools and Parts Thereof

026: Measuring and Scientific Appliances

036: Musical Instruments and Supplies

038: Prints and Publications

The Primary Internatl Classes is 009 and listed as:

Although the classes may look unusual for something that’s listed as a trademark application “intended to cover the categories of downloadable game software”, this is the same class description as AEW: Fight Forever.

With AEW: Fight Forever now available on popular current and last-gen consoles and also available on PC, it was recently announced that AEW: Figure Fighters is also in development.

Set for a 2024 release, AEW: Figure Fighters is a free-to-play casual mobile game, joining a catalog that includes AEW Elite GM and Double or Nothing Casino.
