With his career on the line at the Royal Rumble this Saturday, new trademark applications have emerged for AJ Styles.
At this year’s WWE Royal Rumble, AJ Styles puts his career on the line when he faces GUNTHER in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With this Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble looming, a recent filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office could offer a hint into Styles’ future.
Two separate filings have been submitted to the USPTO by Allen Jones, the real-life name of the WWE star known as AJ Styles.
Under Serial Number 99619439, a new filing was submitted to trademark the term “The Phenomenal AJ Styles”, with the Goods and Services Category stating:
IC 041: Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests;

Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.
The entry notes that this particular trademark has a “First Use Anywhere” and “First Use in Commerce” of December 2000, coinciding with the early career of AJ Styles.
The second trademark application falls under the Serial Number 99619430, and refers to the familiar P1 stylized logo associated with the star, with the Goods and Services categories being:
Shirts; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Gloves for apparel; Slip-on shoes; Shorts.

Once again, there are “First Use Anywhere” and “First Use in Commerce” dates for this entry, with December 2011 being listed, being prior to Styles current run in WWE.
Styles has previously confirmed that he owns the P1 logo in a post on Twitter back in February last year.
WWE typically holds trademarks for a number of its roster, although there are multiple cases where the individuals in question retain their own rights.
